Republic gold 5 Dukatu 1929 MS66 NGC, Kremnitz mint, KM13, Fr-5. Mintage: 1,827. Few can claim to match the aesthetic quality seen in the specimen at hand, and despite one of the highest mintages for this covetable type, there has been a surprising lack of representation in the market in recent years, clearly lending to progressively higher bidder enthusiasm. Attractively styled and quickly becoming one of the more instantly recognizable issues of the entire Czechoslovakian series, the current example endures in a full golden resplendence that is perhaps a touch Prooflike, benefitting from a crisp strike and light reflectivity to an expansive canvas. Full Gem Mint State appearances decorate this rare survivor, with only two examples certifying finer.
