Christian V gold 2 Ducat 1673 AU58 NGC, Copenhagen mint, KM346, Fr-198, Schou-7, Hede-3, Sieg-118. 7.04gm. An undeniably charming gold type, believed to be associated with the ceremonies surrounding Denmark's highest chivalric order--the Order of the Elephant. One of just two seen to date by NGC, the coin showcases full detail throughout, a considerable golden backlight around the crowned royal monogram and elephant motif. Altogether missing from both the Hauberg and Broge collections, this is the first such example we have had the privilege to offer.
