A highly respectable representation of this pleasing type, one that comes to market only a handful of times each decade, and usually accompanied by great collector enthusiasm. Of the five collectible dates, the current examples ranks at the very peak of certification, capped by a gentle dispersal of grade-defining friction that does little to detract from the piece's overall visual character. A light pewter patination abounds, produced with such boldness and clarity to render this piece among the finest extant for the type, and certainly a great rarity when located this problem-free.
