Umberto I gold 100 Lire 1883-R MS62 PCGS, Rome mint, KM22, Mont-3, Gig-3. Mintage: 4,219. A borderline choice example, embellished with such a degree of watery reflectivity in the fields and satiny frost atop the devices to produce a very nearly Prooflike appearance in hand. The strike is complete, resulting in fine detail within the King's hair, as well as in the reverse ornamentation across the crown, shield, and wreath. Currently exceeded by only a single "MS63" in PCGS's census.
