Vittorio Emanuele III gold 100 Lire Anno XIV (1936)-R MS64 NGC, Rome mint, KM83, Mont-25 (R3), Gig-13 (R2), Pag-650. Mintage: 812. Commemorating the Conquest of Ethiopia and the Expanding Italian Sphere of Influence. Obv. Bare head right. Rev. Roman soldier advancing left, holding victoriola and fasces over shoulder. A flashy example of this scarce and sought-after denomination, whose availability is capped by a mintage numbering only 812 pieces. Lustrous and attractively struck, with just a hint of cabinet rub and gentle hairline friction establishing the near-gem designation.
