Nicaragua
Republic Cordoba 1912-H MS64 PCGS, Heaton mint, KM16, Elizondo-1, Flores-pg. 56. Mintage: 35,000. A popular and scarce crown type featuring the familiar "sun and mountains" motif first employed in the coinage of the extinct Central American Republic, reinvented and produced to modern 20th-century production standards. Decorated in peach hues, against which large swathes of silvery luster peek through, hints of metallic blue noted in the reverse legends. Only a tiny handful of examples rank finer.
