Bern. Canton gold 2 Duplone 1796 MS64 NGC, KM147, Fr-186, HMZ-2-211f, Divo-503b, Wunderly-1108. Variety with warrior standing on reverse. Among the most highly graded examples of the issue yet seen by NGC, this specimen oscillates between satin and Prooflike features, offering semi-mirrorlike reflectivity alongside wheeling cartwheel luster. For comparison, the Redwood example ranked as an MS63 Prooflike, and clearly showed a greater degree of surface chatter. Simply a joy to behold, and a coin which demands in-hand inspection to be fully appreciated.
