THESSALY. Larissa. Ca. 380-350 BC. AR drachm (20mm, 5.79 gm, 11h). NGC XF 5/5 - 3/5, Fine Style. Head of nymph Larissa facing, turned slightly left, hair bound with ampyx and divided into two "horns" at crown of head, two grain ears above, wearing pendant earring and plan necklace with central drop / ΣΑΙΩΝ above, ΛΑΡΙ below, mare in foreground and foal in background standing right. BCD Thessaly I 63. BCD Thessaly II 297. Wonderful style on deep cabinet toning.
