Philip V "Royal" 8 Reales 1716 P-Y VF Details (Plugged) NGC, Potosi mint, KM-R31, Cal-1488, Lazaro-260. 27.22gm. A rare Royal issue that has seen only this single example certified by NGC to date. The offering possesses a generally bolder appearance than one might expect for the grade, its visual allure heightened by the presence of a graphite patina that serves to accent the silvery devices. We note that the plug mentioned on the holder insert is skillfully done and barely detectable, and appears to correspond to the partially reconstructed digit "8" at the top of the reverse.
