Charles IV 8 Reales 1803/2 So-FJ AU58 NGC, Santiago mint, KM51, Cal-1038. Clearly overdated, with the final digit revealing a mostly intact "2" beneath. Though typically soft to the higher points of the designs, this appears mostly to be the result of the dies themselves, as Charles' bust is outlined in sharp relief, surrounded by remnant luster and touches of intermingled almond and steel patina. Of scarce quality for the type and tied for the finest yet certified by NGC.
