Kingdom of Cyprus. Henry I electrum Bezant (Hyperpyron) ND (1218-1253) Schlumberger-Plate VI, 6, CCS-16. [hЄ]NRICVS | RЄ[X CyPRI], crowned, bearded figure of Henry standing facing (in guise of the Byzantine emperor), globus cruciger in left hand, patriarchal cross in right / Christ Pantocrator enthroned facing, supporting book of Gospels in left hand, raising right in benediction, IC-XC (marks of contraction above) to either side. Showcasing a strong central strike in spite of the usual peripheral weakness and reverse doubling so common for the issue. Within the series, an admirable survivor, benefitting from ideal centering and a lack of serious edge flaws or splits.
