Czechoslovakia
Republic gold Medallic "Dr. Antonin Svehla" Ducat 1933 MS61 PCGS, Kremnitz mint, KM-XM15, Fr-12. Struck from a reported mintage of just 1,000 pieces between two varieties to celebrate the 60th birthday of Dr. Antonin Svehla, who served three terms as Prime Minister of Czechoslovakia. Distinguished by the lack of a cross above the date, signifying a lifetime issue, whereas those with the cross were likely struck in commemoration of his death at the end of 1933. Imbued with a fairly shallow strike as to render the visually intriguing agrarian scene and bust of Svehla in low relief, all framed by a lightly subdued mint brilliance as is commonly encountered with the type.
