Schleswig-Holstein. Christian VII Speciedaler (60 Schilling) 1801 MF-B MS64 NGC, Altona mint, KM138.1 (under German States), Dav-1311, Schou-2, Hede-13. Notably rare quality for the issue, with an airy silver patina in the open expanses framed by attractive yellow, green and orange-hued highlights silhouetting the raised features on the obverse, while slightly darker peach and plum hues color the reverse. Very few marks are observed, but several as-made planchet fissures along the bottom of both sides are noted, and soften small portions of the design. Currently the only example in the NGC census, and unlikely to be surpassed anytime soon.
