Simply astounding from a conditional point of view, to locate any Louis d'Or approaching Gem Mint State is typically a far-cry, let alone for such an early piece as this. The fields appear satin and textured with micro-fine flow lines, draped with a honey-gold tone and expressing a complete absence of haymarks. Presently the finest example of this mint-date at NGC, with the next nicest we have offered, an MS63, bringing $3407 in 2013.
