Bavaria. Ludwig I 2 Taler (3-1/2 Gulden) 1839 MS65 NGC, Munich mint, KM805, J-64, Thun-73. The first and lowest mintage date of this only three-year type, and a far rarer Convention's issue compared to the Maximilian I commemorative of the same date. Currently the finest of just 8 certified at NGC, this piece represents the first such example we have presented, with an airy silver patina contouring the devices to produce a highly medallic feel.
