John Kapodistrias 20 Lepta 1831 MS61 Brown NGC, KM11, Karamitsos-19, Chase-509-U.w. A rather scarce die pair according to Peter Chase, which escalates to a true rarity when found so pristinely preserved, as is confirmed by the fact that the next finest at NGC is a mere XF40 by comparison. Though minted from what seems to be a deteriorating die, the coin itself attests to a firm and exacting strike executing with great force, resulting in minor splits in the flan along the edges.
