Guatemala
Ferdinand VII gold 2 Escudos 1817 NG-M AU58+ PCGS, Nueva Guatemala mint, KM70, Cal-1592. Admirably struck, and easily as close in appearance to Mint State as what is implied by the assigned grade, with Ferdinand's locks of hair, laureate wreath, and other features retaining their near-complete sharpness, along with the ornate shield and surrounding decoration to the reverse. Gleaming aurous luster enhances the eye appeal, tinged by a hint of red-gold tone that contributes an appreciable sense of age to this scarcer issue, produced across three disparate years in 1808, 1811, and 1817.
