Mughal Empire. Jahangir (AH 1014-1037 / AD 1605-1627) gold Restrike Zodiac Mohur AH 1033 Year 18 (AD 1622) AU, Agra mint, cf. KM180.15 (for original), Hull-1460. 23mm. 10.89gm. Class D. Dated AH 1033 and also Regnal Year 18 (24 October-22 November 1622). Constellation of Gazdum/Vrishchika (Scorpio the Scorpion). A more attainable restrike of this popular Zodiac type, displaying razor-sharp and deeply-engraved devices upon an unknown Mohur host. A bold scorpion and minor incrustations on the crevices, possibly salvaged.
