Mughal Empire. Shah Jahan gold Mohur AH 1045 Year 8 (1635/1636) MS64 NGC, Multan mint, KM260.13 (this date not listed), cf. Hull-1571 (not illustrated), Liddle Type G-3 (same). A seemingly undocumented date for this mint-type in gold, though relatively well-known on Shah Jahan's silver coinage. Quite clearly a piece produced and preserved with some care, we would note that close examination reveals die rust in several areas of the design, suggesting use of an older set of dies.
