Papal States. Benedict XIV gold "Pantheon Restoration" Medal 1757-Dated UNC Details (Reverse Rim Filed) NGC, Bartolotti-757. 39mm. O. Hamerani. An impressive gold medal measuring nearly 40mm in diameter, struck in the name of Benedict XIV and commemorating the restoration of the Pantheon. A subtle beveling of the reverse edge signifies the noted rim filing, though fortunately remains unobtrusive in hand. The devices retain full uncirculated detail, in high relief to the obverse, while lustrous qualities throughout are punctuated by a subtle degree of satiny tone in the periphery and some hairlines in the obverse fields.
