By all indications a much more elusive date than is suggested by Monete Italiane Regionali, with only 9 total examples in the certified population, just two of which have appeared on auction in recent decades; the last we offered was in 2006. Lightly handled throughout to bound the assigned grade, the fields nevertheless contain a glassy backlight, suggesting a carefully produced piece that must have circulated remarkably little.
