REX •:• smaller second horseman left, plume on headdress, sword over right shoulder, cross on housing, no ground line, rev. (m.m.) • CHRISTO •:• AVSPICE •:• REGNO •:• oval garnished shield over cross fourchée, dividing C-R above, 5h, m.m. harp [over rose over plume] / harp (Hawkins 2a; Francis 19a; FRC X*/XIV, lot 61; Brooker 246 same dies; Barr 392; North 2193; Spink 2755), radial striking softness through head dress and between ET HIB and after REX, a minor trace of doubling in BRIT, otherwise pleasingly cabinet toned, a wholesome very fine, with an excellent pedigree and laudatory qualities as a Murdoch plate coin, in NGC holder, graded XF45 (Cert. #2816137-001).
