St. George and Dragon, date in exergue, WWP under broken lance, edge lettered downwards, 7h (Bull 2318; ESC 251; Spink 3805), a majestic cabinet piece with rich dark tone accentuated by purple-blue lustrous flare in fields, spots of die rust on portrait, otherwise a most pleasingly good extremely fine, scarce in this state with this edge date, in NGC holder, very strictly graded MS62 (Cert. #3907857-003).
