(x) PCGS MS61 | Victoria (1837-1901), 'Young Head' Crown, 1845 VIII, cinquefoil stops, young head left, with two ornate fillets, W. WYON R.A. on truncation, rev. crowned shield in wreath, 6h (Bull 2564; ESC 282; Spink 3882), faint bagmarks on cheek and speckled toning encroaching from peripheries, otherwise handsomely lustrous, a superlative portrait strike with excellent definition to hair parting and fillets, an equally choice example for this especially difficult series, a really good extremely fine, in PCGS holder, strictly graded MS61 (Cert. #84984722).
The 5 of the date is heavily filled giving the semblance of a tilted 4 overdate
