KM# 409.2 – Peso 1898 Mo AM. UNC. REACUÑACIÓN En 1949, la Casa de la Moneda de San Francisco acuño 2,000,000 de pesos fechados en 1898 para su uso en China. A diferencia de la emisión original tienen la gráfila del reverso tiene 134 dentículos en vez de 139 y la "o" que acompaña a la ceca "Mo" sobresale de la misma. Estos fueron hechos para el gobierno nacionalista de Chiang KaiShek (Kuomintang) que había introducido una nueva moneda basada en plata. Brillante y con un cierto acabado "mate-frosty", rayones en el pecho del águila...

In 1949, the San Francisco Mint struck 2,000,000 pesos dated 1898 for use in China. Unlike the original issue, they have the ridge on the reverse with 134 denticles instead of 139 and the "o" that accompanies the "Mo" mintmark protrudes from it. These were made for the nationalist government of Chiang KaiShek (Kuomintang) who had introduced a new currency based on silver. Lustrous and with a certain "matte-frosty" finish, scratches on the eagle's chest...
