(t) CHINA. Kiangnan. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), CD (1898). Nanking Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS Genuine--Chopmark, EF Details.
L&M-217; K-74; KM-Y-145a.2; WS-0799. Dragon with incuse eyes variety. A single small chopmark on the reverse accounts for the "details" holder, but this minor flaw should be viewed holistically against the pleasing elements of this piece. Sharp designs remain, that are only slightly affected by wear and the surfaces likewise retain mint charm and a golden tone that highlights them. A charming piece, and one that should be a delight to buy, despite the chopmark.
Estimate: $1500 - $2500
