(t) CHINA. Kiangnan. 1 Mace 4.4 Candareens (20 Cents), CD (1900). Nanking Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS MS-63.
L&M-234; K-83; KM-Y-143a.5; WS-0822. Variety with "new style" dragon and "keng" written like "ren". This Choice minor displays a commendable amount of mint bloom along with crisply applied details. Golden toning rings the devices with an overall satiny finish to the surfaces. Ever so faint contact is noticed on the surfaces, though nothing that interferes with the great eye appeal. A lovely example that is certain to inspire much in the way of spirited bidding.
Estimate: $1600 - $2400
