CHINA. Kirin. 3 Mace 6 Candareens (50 Cents), ND (1898). Kirin Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS Genuine--Chopmark, AU Details.
L&M-517; K-297; KM-Y-182.1; WS-0374. Type 2 "pao." Variety with hooked "sheng" and "kuang," and with rosettes on the dragon side. Quite well struck with respect to what is generally seen from this mint, the present specimen offers light gray toning with some golden-olive hues nearer the peripheries. The noted chopmark is rather subtle and blends in well overall, as it occurs on the fiery pearl.
Estimate: $700 - $1000
