CHINA. Sinkiang. Sar (Tael), Year 1 (1912). Kashgar or Tihwa Mint. PCGS VF-25.
L&M-834; K-1251; KM-Y-42; WS-1315. Type 1: Variety with two stripes of arabesques (floral patterns) on flags. Straight graded examples of this type are only seldom encountered, with this piece presenting noticeable, but not extremely harsh wear. The somewhat shallow nature of these strikes made them prone to detail loss, with this example losing the lower portion of the left flag and the opposing side's character, but almost all other details remain resolute. A good example of this demanded type, and one that is sure to see spirited bidding on account of its problem free nature.
Estimate: $1000 - $1500
