(t) CHINA. Sinkiang. Sar (Tael), Year 6 (1917). Tihwa Mint. PCGS AU-50.
L&M-838; K-1265; KM-Y-45.1; WS-1318. Variety with small wreath and without flower (rosette). These types are normally encountered with at least one of a litany of problems, making this piece a nice change of pace. Icy white luster coats the surfaces, with very little evidence of circulation encountered. A slightly soft strike likely accounts for the grade on eye appeal but, even so, the strong luster is certain to make up for this defect. A great example of a strongly demanded type.
Estimate: $1250 - $1750
