(t) CHINA. Szechuan. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), ND (1901-08). Chengdu Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS EF-45.
L&M-345; K-145; KM-Y-238; WS-0737. Variety with narrow-faced dragon. A handsome example, this "Dragon Dollar" retains strong details and crisp strike quality, along with a hint of remaining luster in the most protected areas of the design. Some deep toning and rub, as to be expected for the grade, are noted. Put together, this example is a wholesome and attractive representative of this increasingly popular provincial type.
Estimate: $4000 - $5000
