CHINA. Szechuan. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), ND (1901-08). Chengdu Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS EF-40.
L&M-345; K-145; KM-Y-238; WS-0737. Narrow face dragon with double die obverse variety. This lovely and moderately circulated example presents an attractive steely gray surface and even touches of mint sheen remaining in the protected areas. Wear is seen on the high elements of the dragon, though this wear is light and not unattractive. A wonderful and problem free example that is certain to please the many collectors of provincial dollars.
Estimate: $2500 - $3500
