(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. 500 Cash, ND (ca. March-August 1854). Board of Works Mint, New Branch. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Graded "82" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
Hartill-22.764; FD-2446. Weight: 55.0 gms. Six stroke Bei variety. Obverse: "Xian Feng Yuan Bao"; Reverse: "Dang Wu Bai". This nicely preserved and attractive large size Cash issue boasts well-formed bold characters. The surfaces displays rich brown patina on the high points with richer mocha coloration in the open areas and crevasses complemented by minor earthen deposits.
