(t) CHINA. Southern Song Dynasty. Silver Ingot, ND (ca. 1127-1279). Graded "Genuine" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
BMC-not listed; cf. Pictoral Yuanbao-18; Zhejiang Provincial Museum-not listed. Weight: 188.9 gms. This interesting early ingot exhibits thick heavy patina with encrustation, minor earthen deposits and verdigris. Significant metal loss due to corrosion with any remnants of stamps being either covered by encrustation or eroded away leaving little to no indication of its use or utility. Despite its shortcomings a presentable example of an early small type ingot from the Song Dynasty.
Estimate: $700 - $1000
