(t) CHINA. Mint Error -- Obverse Half of Two Planchets Struck Together -- 20 Cash, ND (1905-08). Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). NGC VF-35.
Though the dragon side has been struck up quite well, the characters side--which would allow for a better attribution--is completely obliterated due to an addition planchet having been sandwiched between the present specimen and the striking from the characters side die. As such, a very interesting mint error that, despite being a one-sided piece with no indication of the denomination, nevertheless spent some time in commerce.
Estimate: $500 - $750
