(t) CHINA. Dollar, Year 21 (1932). Shanghai Mint. PCGS AU-55.
L&M-108; K-622; KM-Y-344; WS-0144. "Birds over junk" variety. A handsome example of a popular variety, this beauty is nearly fully lustered and with a gleaming glow that still cartwheels light. Only light rub is observed on the high elements of the design, with a brushing of golden toning near the upper periphery adding to the charm. Some soft marking is noted, though this is not too distracting to the eye. Put together, this example is a premium piece in terms of eye appeal at this grade level.
Estimate: $7000 - $10000
