Obverse: Nude male soldier standing left, holding sword and German colonial standard; fallen warriors around and behind; Reverse: Legend in six lines within oak wreath. Edge: Plain. An already SCARCE and interesting medal, this is the first example of the type that this cataloger has encountered in zinc. Deep charcoal gray surfaces, with a charming underlying brilliance and overall attractive nature.
