GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Dollar, 1934-B. Bombay Mint. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details.
KM-T5; Mars-BTD1; Prid-29. One of the essential KEY DATES to the series, the bulk of this date's mintage was melted, leaving extant examples exceedingly demanded. The details are sharp on the surface, with very little evidence of wear or rub. As PCGS notes, this specimen was cleaned in the past, though this evidence of cleaning does not present in the form of aggressive hairlines; rather, the unnatural brightness of the piece gives away the cleaning. Touches of toning hug the rim, providing some contrast. Altogether, this Trade Dollar remains a strong example of a RARE KEY, and is certain to command much attention as a more affordable representative.
Estimate: $1500 - $3000
