INDIA. Faridkot. Nazarana Medallic 2/3 Mohur, 1932. Harindar Singh Brar (under George V as Emperor). PCGS Genuine--Filed Rims, Genuine.
Fr-Unlisted; KM-Unlisted. SHOCKINGLY RARE and deficient in supply, this supremely desirable medallic issue commemorates the last ruler of Faridkot with a prominent bust on the obverse. This piece is so esoteric that it escaped being included in both the regular and unusual issues of Krause, along with being unknown to Friedberg. Though not noted on the holder, the PCGS websites gives the reason for the genuine label on account of filed rims, which are hard to see, though still visible inside the PCGS encapsulation. It is unclear why a details grade was not assigned, but this example would certainly qualify for Uncirculated details, as there is no evidence of friction and the piece maintains an overall lustrous charm. This lot affords the discerning collector with the opportunity to acquire among the most seldom seen issues of the Indian Princely States series. To view all items from the Yashoda N.
