SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch. Vespasian, AD 69-79. AR tetradrachm (14,14 g). Dated NHY 4 = AD 71/72. Laureate head left with drapery on shoulder / Eagle standing facing on garlanded altar or cista mystica, head right, holding caduceus in beak and palm branch in right talon; E (date) in legend (barely visible). Struck on the usual tight flan with portrait in high relief. Struck on a slightly oval flan. Very light porosity in fields. Steel-grey cabinet toning with a few earthen deposits. Very rare and one of 4 recorded in RPC. RPC II, 1974 (# 1 this coin), Wruck 89 Grade: 1-
