(IMP)・(VE)S in rectangular countermark on a Roman Imperatorial denarius of Marcus Antonius and Cleopatra, Alexandria 34 BC (Crawford 543/1; Sydenham 1210; RSC 1;). Countermark graded fine-very fine. banker's marks on Antonius' neck. Light cabinet toning. Very rare issue with this countermark.
