Constantinople mint, struck AD 1005-1025. +IҺS XIS RЄX RЄςNANTIҺm, Facing bust of Christ Pantokrator, nimbate, raising hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels; crescents in upper quarters of nimbus / +ЬASIL Є COҺSτAҺτIҺ R, Crowned half-length busts of Basil and Constantine; Basil, bearded, wearing loros and being crowned from above by manus Dei; Constantine, beardless, wearing chlamys; both holding long cross between them. Some die-rust on obverse. Graffiti and a few tiny marks in reverse fields. An attractive specimen that are well-struck and perfectly centered on a nice flan.
