Griquatown, South Africa, bronze pattern penny, Victoria, 1890, rare, NGC PF 62 BN. Hern-GT20; KM-Pn5. Lightly but colorfully rainbow toned over luster (especially the reverse) with a few small dark spots, virtually no marks or wear, from a rare and important single-denomination issue engraved by L.C. Lauer and struck in Berlin by Otto Nolte & Co., presumably as samples only (not released for actual circulation). NGC #5901720-003.
