Dutch East Indian (Indonesian) bronze lantaka (cannon) with original yoke (1800s). 36 lb av, 33" long, 3-3/4" at its widest. A type of portable cannon or swivel gun which was traded throughout the Pacific and Caribbean, this one a little smaller than others we have sold, with a simple design of triangular-shaped embellishments on the barrel, no lifting handle, socket cascabel which was made to receive a wooden pointing tiller, bits of sedimentation all over.
