Bogota, Colombia, 1/4 real, 1826, B.T.R., rare, NGC VF details / cleaned. Restrepo-148.1; KM-85.1. Struck quite boldly with lightly cleaned centers and russet toning around the rims, interesting one-year one-denomination issue with mintmark as B to left of assayers' initials T and R (for Truxillo and Rodriguez), apparently their only joint contribution to minting in Colombia. NGC #6442565-041. Pedigreed to the Bernal Collection (stated on label).
