Rulau-NY889C. J.M. Taylor was a currency broker who operated in Brooklyn and New York City in the 1850s. Choice example with sharply rendered four-line countermark (just a touch of weakness around ST and NY) on a detailed host coin that's higher grade than most other Taylor host coins, with minor hairlines in the fields from prior cleaning.
