Anguilla, 1 "Liberty" dollar, July 11, 1967, countermark on an Ecuador 5 sucres, 1944, rare, PCGS AU55. KM-X8. Nice luster, all undercoin details visible, the countermark lettering slightly off-center, interesting type made by San Francisco Chronicle editor Scott Newhall to support Anguilla's secession from the British Commonwealth, with only a couple thousand of the 11,600 silver dollar-sized coins countermarked actually sold to collectors and many of those melted in subsequent years.
