MYSIA. Kyzikos. Circa 550-500 BC. Stater (Electrum, 20 mm, 16.13 g). Forepart of a ram to left, with tunny fish swimming upwards at the truncation. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. SNG Paris -. Von Fritze 46. Very rare. Bold and clear. About extremely fine.

While we have followed von Fritze's arrangement here - it is basically quite reasonable - it should be clear that this stater was not issued in the 6th century BC. The completely naturalistic ram on this obverse seems better placed in the mid 5th century.
