IONIA. Miletos. Circa 340-325 BC. Drachm (Silver, 14.0 mm, 3.53 g, 11 h), struck under the magistrate Metrodoros. Laureate head of Apollo to left. Rev. [Μ]ΕΤΡΟΔΩΡΟΣ Lion standing to left, his head turned back to right; above, eight-pointed star; to left, Miletos monogram; in exergue, magistrate's name . BMC 64 var. Deppert-Lippitz 204 var. (V5/R- this die, with E in place of H, unrecorded). Marcellesi 3. Well-centered and nicely toned. About extremely fine.
