CYPRUS. Paphos. Uncertain king, circa 500-480 BC. Stater (Silver, 24.5 mm, 10.98 g, 2 h). 'Bo-ka/ro-se' (in Cypriote syllabic script) Man-headed bull - the river god Bokaros - kneeling to right on ground line, his bearded head turned back to left; above, pellet in crescent. Rev. 'Pa-si' ('King' in Cypriote syllabic script) Astragalos within circular incuse. Cf. BMC 1, ppl. VII, 1 and XXI, 2 (no crescent). Destrooper-Georgiades –. Cf. Jameson 2334 = Weber 7701 (no crescent).
